In case you are interested in the History of who and/or what Retak Records is about. A country lady who had a dream created this Label Company in 1996. Born in Dyess Arkansas and raised and schooled in a connecting community, a small country town know as Lepanto, Arkansas, both communities being approximately forty miles north of Memphis Tennessee. 

     This Lady was known then as Evadale Fowler, coming from a large family of seven siblings and also being the middle child, she was always trying to prove to herself that she could do anything her older siblings could do, and still impress her younger siblings and yet be different when she grew up. She had a burning desire for any and all styles of music. Country music was her favorite at that time in her life. As she matured, she found that there wasn’t any music she didn’t like.

     This Lady is now known as Dale Sylvia. She left Arkansas in 1954, married and raised two daughters, Grandmother to four, divorced and now residing in the San Francisco Bay Area, where she is making her dream come true as a songwriter, producer, promoter, President of Retak Records, President of Kater Publishing Company, Real Estate Broker (for 30 years) of Flag Realty in Newcastle, California, and still Mother and Grandmother. Don’t tell her she can’t do it all. She was told she couldn’t, and now she is, proving she can. And so can you.
